5-year-old boy killed in UP celebratory shooting

A five-year-old boy has been killed in a celebratory shooting in Uttar Pradesh, police said. The incident took place in the Matangde area of ​​Banda district.

ASP Lakshmi Niwas Mishra said, “A young boy, Shambhu Shukla, who had gone to attend a family function, was killed in celebratory shooting on Saturday night.”

“During a family function, one Prateek Shukla fired with a country-made pistol,” the police officer said.

Officials said the police had lodged an FIR against the accused at the Matande police station under relevant sections of the Independent Criminal Procedure Code and sent the body for post-mortem.
