A man has been found dead at a house in County Durham and five teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

cleveland police They were called to an address in Egglescliffe Close, Stockton, at around 6.50pm on Saturday, January 10, where a 49-year-old man was found dead.

A 19-year-old man, two 18-year-old men and two 17-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of murder and are in police custody, a spokesman said.

An eyewitness told TeessideLive that four police cars were spotted at the scene.

Police said video related to the incident has been circulated online social media, and asked people not to share further.

A spokesman said: “We are aware of videos circulating on social media sites relating to this incident.

“Please do not share this video again as this may jeopardize legal proceedings. You can upload videos anonymously here.

“Anyone with information, CCTV or doorbell footage is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number SE26005815.”

Egglescliffe Close is a residential street in the Hardwick area of ​​north Stockton. It is connected to Elton Close, off the A177 Durham Road.
