4 new deaths from Covid-19, 4,000 active cases in India

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India’s active Kovid -19 cases are at 3,961 on Monday, June 2 till 8 am. Since January this year, the cumulative Covid-19 has died in the country 32, in which four deaths have occurred since Sunday.

According to official data, 203 new cases were added to the count of the active case from Sunday.
Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Kerala each reported the death of one Kovid -19 from Sunday.

Delhi reported 47 and Covid-19 cases, leading to 483 in total active cases in the national capital.
In Kerala, the active Kovid -19 cases increased by 1,435, with 35 new cases from Sunday.

In Maharashtra, 21 new Covid-19 cases were reported, which took the active case count to 506.

In West Bengal, 44 new Covid-19 cases were reported, making the state’s active cases to 331 to 331.
On Friday, Union Minister of State for Health and Ayush (Independent Charge), Pratapro Jadhav assured that the Center is fully prepared to handle any situation that may arise.

“Our Central Health Department and Ministry of AYUSH are completely cautious and are closely monitoring the situation in all states. We have spoken to the concerned health and AYUSH secretaries along with other concerned ministers,” Jadhav told ANI.

He said that the infrastructure developed during the earlier Kovid -19 waves has been reviewed and preparations are underway to deal with any incident.

He said, “We have reviewed the infrastructure manufactured during earlier Kovid waves, such as oxygen plants and ICU beds, and have already started preparations. Our health systems are well equipped and ready to handle any situation that can be generated in response to Kovid,” he said.

Meanwhile, in view of the current Covid-19 status in the state, a circular was issued by the Karnataka Health Department, asking the government and private schools to take precautions in the interest of school children.

Instructions are as follows: If school children develop fever, cough, cold and other symptoms, do not send them to school. Follow proper treatment and care measures as per the advice by the doctor. (AI)
