“30-32 cases against me; All these are medals”: Rahul Gandhi

A case was filed against the Congress MP and Lok Sabha Lop Rahul Gandhi by the Darbhanga district administration for violating Section 163 of CRPC, Gandhi referred to the cases as a “medal” and said that he already had 30-32 cases against him.

He mentioned that he faces about 30–32 cases, which he saw as a will for his commitment to social justice and a will for the desire to challenge the status quo.

Talking to the media in Patna, he said, “There are 30-32 cases against me; these are all medals.”

Despite the legal challenges, Gandhi remained firm in his stand on social issues and advocated the rights of the marginalized communities. He emphasized the need for a caste census to better understand and address social and economic inequalities.

Furthermore, during his address in Darbhanga, he advocated implementing reservation laws in private colleges and universities, which ensure equal opportunities for marginalized communities.

He said that he reiterated his party’s commitment to social justice during his visit to Bihar, called for full implementation of reservation laws and removal of 50 percent cap on reservation and called for a 50% cap on reservation, which allowed opportunities for more representation and opportunities.

“… I talked about caste census there (in college hostels) and also said that the law that is – reservation in private colleges and universities – that law should be implemented. Also, 50% of the obstacles in reservation should be removed. These are our demands and we will meet them,” he said.

Further, Darbhanga district administration said on Thursday that they would take action against them for violating Section 163 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CRPC).

Despite being deprived of permission by the Bihar Police, the action was taken after reaching Ambedkar Hostel in Gandhi Darbhanga.

Meanwhile, Darbhanga Jadu MP Sanjay Jha also questioned Rahul Gandhi’s allegations that Bihar Police tried to stop him on the way to Ambedkar hostel, stating that “There was any political meeting in a hostel anytime?”

Jha further said that it was sought permission for the Town Hall.

“In Darbhanga, where he (Rahul Gandhi) sought permission, the administration did not allow because a political meeting was held at any hostel? But when his party later asked for permission in the town hall, he was allowed …”
