Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Iran had agreed to a “full and total ceasefire”, which would end the struggle just hours after targeting American airports in the Middle East.
However, after the declaration of the ceasefire, Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katj accused Iran of violating the ceasefire and said that he has ordered Israel’s defense forces (IDF) to “forcibly respond to Iran’s violations with a thorough attack against the target of Tehran in Tehran’s heart,”
After the launch of two ballistic missiles in Israel after Iran’s ceasefire came into effect, Katz’s statement came. Both missiles were intercepted. The Israeli Times said that in the ongoing assessment, IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ile Zameer said, “In the light of the serious violation of the ceasefire by the Iranian regime, we will strike with force.”
The conflict between Israel and Iran began on 13 June when East launched a massive air strikes at the Iranian military and nuclear sites, named “Operation Rising Lion”. In vengeance, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a large -scale drone and missile campaign called ‘Operation True Promise 3’, targeting Israeli fighter jet fuel production facilities and energy supply centers.
Tensions went ahead after the US carried out an accurate airstrike on three major Iranian nuclear facilities under the “Operation Midnight Hammer” on Sunday morning. Iran retaliated by launching several missiles in American military establishments in Qatar and Iraq, including Al Udid Air Base in Qatar – the largest American military base in the region. (AI)
