27,000 chickens were killed in the fire of British Columbia which destroyed two barn

Langley, Township of British Columbia – A farm has caught fire in Langli, BC township, destroyed two large barn, killing thousands of chickens.

Deputy Fire Chief Corey Parker, along with the Township of the Langli Fire Department, says the crew was called at around 2 pm on Sunday and the fire was already growing rapidly when they arrived.

He says that the two barns that were burnt were about 365 meters long and the estimated 27,000 chickens were killed.

Firefighting was able to save the third barn on property.

Parker states that 10 trucks and 30 firefighters were required and the fire was brought under control in about five hours, although the crew continued to extinguish hot places throughout the day.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
