A person who stabbed his partner 27 times in a “continuous and barbaric” attack has been jailed for 18 years.
32 -year -old Corey Dridon killed 31 -year -old Megan Hughes Scottish borders On 9 February.
He repeatedly hit and stabbed her with a claw hammer and knife at her house in Chiranside.
Then he dialed 999 at around 4.35 am.
Ms. Hughes was declared dead on the spot.
Dridon initially claimed that his partner had attacked him and he acted in self -defense.
However, on 27 June, he admitted his murder.

He did not show any feeling because Lord Harowar sentenced him.
