1 4 score 100 percentile in JEE Main, five from Rajasthan

NEW DELHI: Fourteen candidates scored 100 percentile or 100 NTA score in the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) 2025 January session, against 23 candidates in 2024 and 20 in 2023. Out of the 14 top scorers, 12 are from general category and one each from OBC and SC categories. There is also one woman among the toppers.
State-wise, Rajasthan had the highest number of top scorers with five candidates, followed by UP with two. Other states with 100 NTA score achievers include Karnataka, Delhi (NCT), Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, each with one candidate.
No general-EWS, ST candidates in JEE’s 100 percentile club
The woman topper is Sai Manogna Guthikonda from Andhra Pradesh, who secured a perfect 100 NTA score. Among the 100 percentile scorers, there are no candidates from the gen-EWS or ST categories. The 100 NTA scorers are Ayush Singhal, Kushagra Gupta, Daksh (OBC), Harsh Jha, Rajit Gupta, Shreyas Lohiya, Saksham Jindal, Saurav, Vishad Jain, Arnav Singh, Shiven Vikas Toshniwal, Sai Manogna Guthikonda, Om Prakash Behera, and Bani Brata Majee.

Lone woman topper

Among PwD candidates, Harshal Gupta from Chhattisgarh secured the highest NTA score with 99.95. The gen-EWS topper, Kotipalli Yaswanth Satwik from Andhra Pradesh, achieved 99.99, while the SC category topper, Shreyas Lohiya from Uttar Pradesh, scored 100. The highest scorer in the ST category is Parth Sehra from Rajasthan with 99.97.
JEE (Main) 2025 recorded an attendance of 95.9% for Paper 1 (BE/BTech), a little over the 95.8% recorded in 2024. A total of 12.5 lakh candidates appeared for the exam out of 13.1 lakh registrations, showing a marginal increase from the 12.3 lakh participants in 2024. The first of the two JEE (Main) sessions took place in January, while the second session is scheduled for April, with online registrations ongoing. The exam was conducted in 13 languages across 618 centres in 304 cities, including 15 cities outside India including Abu Dhabi, West Java, Washington, and Munich.
Compared to the 21 overseas locations in 2024, the number of foreign test centres has slightly decreased.
Based on the results of JEE-Main Paper 1 and Paper 2, around 2.6 lakh candidates will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam, which serves as the gateway to the 23 IITs. The final rankings will be determined based on the best of the two NTA scores from the January and April sessions.
NTA score is a normalised measure based on the relative performance of all examinees in a given session and is not equivalent to a percentage. As part of enhanced security measures, NTA implemented AI-based video analytics and biometric verification at test centres, along with 5G jammers to prevent malpractices.
